As often happens on Twitter, some very pleasing reports were tweeted and retweeted, showing the difference the scheme makes to family carers of people with dementia. It’s worth picking out these two examples:

On https://www.patientopinion.org.uk – praise for the impact of the Butterfly Scheme, posted by a carer

“I would just like to praise the Butterfly Scheme that has been introduced into hospitals. I care for my husband who had a stroke which left him with some mental impairment. He has had two hospital visits since this scheme was introduced and I have found his care has been exceptional. It has also given me great peace of mind when I have left him. Well done to all the staff who have implemented this scheme.”

On Twitter, Mark Johnston, from Scotland,

“My Mum thrilled by @ButterflyScheme in Wales. Relaxed about Dad’s care”
