2015 has been a wonderful year for the Butterfly Scheme, starting with a national healthcare leadership award and drawing to a close with the wonderful acknowledgement of Butterfly Scheme teams at the UK Dementia Care Awards, but I simply want to make my news for December the non-stop, year-round dedication, hard work and passion of all those healthcare teams delivering the scheme to patients and families across the UK. Not everyone will win an award, not everyone will individually be thanked for the excellent work they do, but each of them will certainly have earned the gratitude of those they have cared for and the families around them. I see all the time just how dedicated the teams are; I could give endless examples of their absolute commitment. On behalf of everyone who has received that care in 2015 and everyone who will receive it in 2016, thank you to each and every one of you.
