The Butterfly Scheme’s founder spent two days teaching Swansea University’s first-year Nursing students. She said: “I was hugely impressed by the students, who showed great determination to gain as much insight as they could into the hospital experience of people living with dementia and of their carers. They asked intelligent questions, gave all their energy and focus to the activities and by the end of the sessions I was struck by the thought that if I developed dementia, I’d be glad to think that these students were there to care for me.” Well done, Swansea!
