Meanwhile, the Butterfly Scheme Lead for Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, Chris Venton, and the dementia care leader for the trust, Dr. Dan Harman, won a golden heart award (a local award started in the trust by its chief executive) for their work on dementia care, including the implementation of the Butterfly Scheme. Dan was also nominated for individual of the year for his dementia work. Many congratulations to both! Chris kindly said: “Thank you so much for allowing us to use your wonderful scheme!”, but in fact the Scheme is fortunate to have such dedicated and talented Leads working with it.
